Here we are, at last, at the end of 2012: the end of world as we know it.
I am joking. Sort of. I do think that if we play our cards right, we have a chance to make this the end of many aspects of the world, as we have known it.
Predictable Shock

Mars will set off the Uranus-Pluto square in late November, striking at its most powerful point of access (see the Nov Skywatch). Much has been written about this transit’s unpredictability; but the concept needs to be qualified. We have learned enough about how Uranus and Pluto work to refine our understanding about the nature of shock.

Similarly counter-intuitive are the political preferences of Tea Party enthusiasts, who detest reckless spending and the government — the same government their candidate is spending recklessly to join.
