Astrologer Jessica Murray
Astrologer, writer and cultural commentator Jessica Murray brings to light the spiritual underpinnings that shape both the personal and collective experience of our time. In her private practice, Jessica draws from her knowledge of many metaphysical traditions to provide her clients with a sense of the big picture. Her readers and students are given an understanding of how they might respond, rather than merely react, to these turbulent times.
Jessica trained as a fine artist before graduating in 1973 from Brown University, where she studied Jungian psychology and linguistics. After a few years in a political theatre troupe, Jessica began a study of the symbolic language of archetypes, and has been practicing and teaching astrology in San Francisco for fifty years.
Jessica writes for multiple publications, including The Mountain Astrologer Magazine and Reality Sandwich, along with regular blogs at MotherSky.com. In addition to her monthly Skywatch, Jessica offers a webinar series through Astrology University on natal symbols and world transits, with an emphasis on the traditionally difficult planets. Her second book, At the Crossroads (2012) covers the world-altering events of our era. Her first book, Soul-Sick Nation: An Astrologer’s View of America (2006) is an in-depth study of the United States from an astrological perspective. A third book, Transpersonal Astrology (2013) is a groundbreaking anthology which features Jessica’s essay “The World Moment.”
Jessica also offers a full range of astrological readings, by phone or Zoom.
